Welcome to the Meeting House Cafe, Liverpool.
Liverpool Quakers have teamed up with Blackburne House Cafe Bar to provide a feel good eatery in the heart of Liverpool One situated inside the Liverpool Quaker Meeting House in School Lane.
Who are the Liverpool Quakers?
Quakers have a deep seated belief in equality arising from their belief that “there is that of God in everyone”. We believe that each person chooses whether or how to seek a connection with God (some of us prefer to express in terms of the light or other nontheist ways.) We don’t have a creed but we are guided by the words, experiences and examples of others as well as by our own sense of what is right. Our way of worship, which is largely silent, supports our beliefs. Quakers do not seek to recruit people to our faith but we do feel that we offer a spiritual response to the 21st century which is helpful and nourishing. If you want to know more you can email firstname.lastname@example.org drop in at a Curious about Quakers session (Thurs lunch time) or come to one of our regular Thurs or Sun meetings.
The ground floor of our Meeting House has been transformed by introducing the cafe, a multi-faith Quiet room (used for prayer, meditation & reflection) and community space, we hope that it continues to grow to provide a valued community space in the city centre.
